Where are we today in the Book of Revelation narrative?

This video introduces a series on the Seven Trumpets, highly relevant to the times in which we live.

On the Revelation timeline of the events on earth, the Seven Trumpets coincide with the period of the Laodicean church.  The last church, Laodicea, is described as lukewarm, believing that she is “rich and in need of nothing, not knowing that she is wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked” (Revelation 3:17). The Laodicean Church symbolizes the apathetic modern church that is little different from the society around her.

The birth pains of the Laodicean church

We, Laodiceans, seem to be oblivious to the spiritual realities of our age as we are absorbed in our self-centered lives. The Seven Trumpets events are what Jesus described as “birth pains” that truly shake up our complacency (Matthew 24:8).

God uses the events brought about by the Seven Trumpets to raise our awareness of what is happening in the invisible spiritual realm so that as many as possible shake out of their complacency and into the 144,000. The 144,000 who will powerfully proclaim the gospel and lead the great multitude out of Satan’s deception and destruction.
