Revelation 12 describes War in Heaven in which Satan, the “Dragon”, is cast out of Heaven. This is actually a continuation of the Great Controversy which began when Satan challenged God and accused Him of being unjust. Sin entered this world when Adam and Eve accepted Satan’s accusations.
The Woman Clothed with the Sun of Revelation 12 symbolized God’s people, Israel in the Old Testament and the Christian Church in the New Testament. Satan, symbolized by a dragon, persecuted the woman during the 1260 years of the Middle Ages but God protected a remnant who were faithful to Him.
The Seven Trumpets of Revelation depict a great war that takes place at the end of time, which is a part of the Great Time of Trouble. This war takes place while the 144,000 are giving God’s last message to the world and are Satan’s attempt to stop them.
In Revelation 8 an Angel has a Golden Censer, which is an Old Testament symbol of God’s protection. When he throws down the Censer this marks the beginning of the Time of Trouble when Satan will be allowed to bring destruction upon the earth in an attempt to prove that God’s people are not faithful.
The Time of Trouble in Revelation is also called the “Hour of Trial”. This “Hour” has two sections: There is “silence in heaven for about half an hour”–during the Trumpet plagues God does not intervene to restrain Satan. The second “half an hour” is the Seven Last Plagues, when God intervenes to protects His people.
The Great Multitude and the 144,000 are two groups of God’s people at the End of Time. The Great Multitude are in the Babylon false religious system. The 144,000 will give God’s last message, calling the Great Multitude to leave Babylon
The 144,000 are a special group of people in the Book of Revelation who live at the End of Time. They are sealed (selected by God) from Spiritual Israel and give the Last Message of God to the World.
The Four Winds represent the great destruction that Satan would like to bring upon the world, but he is restrained until the 144,000 are sealed. Then the Great Tribulation (Time of Trouble) will begin.
The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse use a number of symbols (riders, creatures, colors, objects) which together show a picture of what will happen when God and the Angels judge humanity.
The Sealed Scroll is part of the Drama of Revelation Chapters 4 and 5, where the Judgment begins in Heaven. The Sealed Book is the Book of Life, which Satan does not want to be opened, but Jesus appears as a Lamb Slain and His sacrifice qualifies Him to open the Book.
